Mudgee Farmers' Market

Bacchus Range has a bounty of both farm fresh and brandied cumquats at the markets tomorrow…

Some suggestions:

Try a slice of cumquat instead of lemon with black tea - perfect in a Darjeeling!

Naturally a little tart, cumquats go well with duck, pork or chicken. If you’re making up a bbq marinade for these meats, try slicing in a few cumquats and see what happens to the flavour!
Finely chop 1-2 cumquats and add into a stuffing mix, offsetting with something sweeter, such as chopped apple or pear.

Or save yourself the effort and just grab a jar of Paul’s new Brandied Cumquats and serve over vanilla bean ice-cream.

Need some colour to brighten your day given all these grey skies we seem to be getting? (Yes there is more 🌧 predicted on the weekend!)
On the flip side though, the conditions for plant growth have been exceptional really (aka rain, sunshine, rain, sunshine etc and the constant lawn mowing!)

Local growers
@bilbyblooms and @brighton.farm will both be at the weekend markets with blooms aplenty for you to carry away by the armful and brighten up your house.

Meet Mark from @guneemoorooestate, situated just outside of Mudgee in the Grattai Valley, the estate’s situation boasts perfect conditions for its extensive vineyard and grove of 3500 Italian and Spanish olive trees.
Produced sustainably, their wines and oils are true to the area, have one several local wine awards over the years and we also love their striking logo and label design - which pays homage to their namesake ‘a meeting place for ducks’

Come and sample this Saturday at the markets 8:30-12:30, Robertson Park, Mudgee.

Local Makers’ will be back in the park next Sunday 7 November. Come down grab a coffee, a bite to eat and see what you can find - perfect way to spend a Sunday morning and start off your Christmas shopping.

Ayurveda and the existence of five elements inspires this collection by local Lue maker @fivelementscollection

The term Ayurveda is derived from the Sanskrit words Ayurveda (life) and Veda (science or knowledge) - the ‘knowledge of life.’ Basing its theory on the existence of five elements which form the basis of life and the whole universe as well as our bodies. The five great elements are space/ether (ākāśa); air/wind (vāyu); fire (tejas); water (jala) and earth (prthvī)
